Any connection to and/or use of the website (the “Site”) implies the Website user’s acceptance of the following conditions where the user commits to comply with these following terms of use outlined below.

Minors - Under 16 years which is the age of digital consent in Ireland

Under no circumstances are persons who are 16 years or younger permitted to create an account or participate on any of our courses.


Malicious Interactions: As a consequence, the User strictly undertakes not to make:

  • any transmission or disclosure via the Site of illegal, contrary to public policy or defamatory information;
  • any deterioration, unauthorized downloading, DDoS attack, misappropriation of Site information and content, attempt to circumvent or damage security devices, phishing, fraudulent introduction into EMTS Education infrastructure, etc.;
  • and generally, any Site use which does not comply with these terms of use and/or which may damage its integrity or availability, and/or EMTS Education’ interests and exclusive rights.

 

Availability: The Site functions 24/24 hours and 7/7 days. However, if a force majeure event occurs, the connection is slow or the Site is overloaded or unavailable due to electronic communication networks, access to all or part of the Site may be slowed down or interrupted. Furthermore, EMTS Education may undertake corrective or preventive maintenance on the Site or hosting facilities. Accordingly, EMTS Education does not guarantee availability or continuous access to the Site.

 

Intellectual property: The Site and its contents (source code, texts, images, photos and graphics, data, information, architecture, software and databases, domain name, trademarks and logos) are protected by the laws, regulations and international conventions on intellectual property, and belong to EMTS Education or are subject to authorization for use.

In no event shall consulting the Site be construed as a transfer, licence or authorisation to re-use contents. Accordingly, any total or partial reproduction, representation, extraction, modification, dissemination or exploitation of the Site, or of any one of the elements contained herein, on any medium whatsoever, is strictly forbidden unless previously authorized in writing by EMTS Education. EMTS Education is entitled to modify Site content at any time without prior notice.

EMTS Education disclaims all liability for any damage whatsoever, direct or indirect (in particular any financial, commercial, loss of programs or data), which may be suffered by a User or a third party resulting from the use of the Site and the information contained therein. In addition, EMTS Education disclaims all liability in the event of viruses, malware or spam resulting from the consultation of the Site.

 

Third Party Website and links: Websites outside the EMTS Education Group that have a hypertext link to the Site are not under the control of EMTS Education, which therefore declines all responsibility for their content. The User is solely responsible for their use.

Power of Jurisdiction and Applicable Law: All disputes related to the Site and its contents shall be referred to the courts and tribunals of Ireland and governed by Irish law.


Refund Policy:

A participant may seek a refund for a course for a variety of reasons. While discretion will apply in all cases the following general guidelines apply:


  • Refunds for a course are only possible before the user starts engagement on a course
  • Where a participant mistakenly buys the wrong course and notifies us immediately without accessing the course, then a full refund is given.
  • If a participant has any interaction on a course, then refunds must be dealt with on a case-by-case basis.

Course Participation

  • The Student agrees to actively participate in all course activities, including lectures, discussions, assignments, and assessments.
  • The Student commits to completing all course requirements by the specified deadlines.

Code of Conduct

  • The Student agrees to maintain a respectful and professional demeanour in all interactions with instructors and fellow students.
  • Any form of harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated.

Academic Integrity

  • The Student agrees to uphold the highest standards of academic integrity, including avoiding plagiarism, cheating, or any form of dishonest conduct.
  • The Student understands that violations may result in disciplinary action, including potential expulsion from the course.

Technology Requirements

  • The Student is responsible for ensuring they have the necessary technology and internet access to participate in the online course.
  • The Student agrees to familiarize themselves with the course platform and utilize the resources provided.

Communication

  • The Student agrees to check course announcements and communications regularly and respond promptly to messages from instructors and peers.
  • The Student will provide accurate contact information and notify the Provider of any changes.

Withdrawal and Refund Policy

The Student understands the withdrawal and refund policy as outlined by the Provider (the Refund policy is contained in this Terms & Conditions document) and agrees to adhere to the specified terms.


Acknowledgment

By enrolling in this course, the Student acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to abide by the terms of this Student Agreement.
